Welcome from the Headteacher
Hello, and a very warm welcome to the new John Keats Primary School. Whether you’re a parent or child, I am in no doubt you will find this an exciting and vibrant place for learning.
It is a fantastic time to join us. Our first reception class opened in 2018 and as each new year group begins, the school will grow until 2024, when it will be a full primary school. This means the children and families who join us now will be the ones who shape the way the school develops for many years.
You can help us build a fun school where children can learn and develop, based on a creative curriculum that’s guided by their interests. We want to support and challenge children through activities such as forest school and expressive arts, poetry and community choir, so they can explore, understand and develop the world around them. In short, we aim to give them every opportunity to grow educationally, socially and emotionally.
We also want the school to be a natural focus for our local community, so you are always welcome to come and look around. Or, if you’d like to talk to me about any aspect of the school, simply call the office to make an appointment – I’m always happy to meet parents and carers.
I believe that, working together, we can create an outstanding school that children and families will enjoy coming to for years to come. I’m really looking forward to working with you to make it happen.
Mr. Matt Rose
