Nursery
John Keats Nursery is a fun, loving environment in which your child can begin their school life. We believe that Nursery is the key starting point to a child’s educational journey and we ensure this is supported with a fully qualified teacher. Our learning is all focused on learning through play. We believe that Nursery is a great place to build on children's social and self-care skills. We want to give children confidence in themselves and hence help them to be curious and independent learners. We encourage learning as a class group, small groups and on an individual level. We have a theme to our learning which changes every half term and then within this we focus on a story book a week on which we base a lot of our activities. Here at John Keats, we love getting messy in nursery and do lots of arts and crafts. Children have access to water, sand, mud, painting, sticking, playdoh and all sorts of other hands-on activities every day. We also encourage physical development with lots of time in the big playground playing games, riding bikes and scooters and having fun. Being part of school means we continuously access lots of other extra activities and be involved in school wide projects.
We offer both Full time (30 Hours) and Part time (15 Hours) per week. Children who attend 15 Hours per week are free to attend and we offer flexibility with the sessions using their 15 hours of funding.
For full time hours (08:40 - 3:15pm) we offer 30 hours free childcare places if parents meet the eligibility criteria. We also offer the option of paying for additional sessions if parents do not meet the eligibility criteria for 30 hours free childcare. Additional session prices are currently £17.50 per session but are subject to change by the trust from time to time due to inflation. We will give parents a minimum of a terms notice if this changes.
We would love your child to join our nursery. If you would like to come and chat and have a look around please contact the school office for an appointment. We can’t wait to show you our provision!
